Is it beneficial to do PhD(Economics) in Nalanda Open University?


I am planning to do PhD in Economics from Nalanda Open University. But as it is an open university, I am in dilemma that I should apply or not. Kindly tell me that is it beneficial to do PhD from this university?

Doing Ph.D from an open university can be beneficial only when you are already working professional. There is no point in pursuing a distance mode Ph.D, if you are unemployed.

If you are still not working, then doing a regular Ph.D programme is a better option than going for a open university Ph.D programme.
