Can I do Ph.D in Chemistry through distance mode if I am 50 years old? Institutions at Kolkata which provides Ph.D in Chemistry?


Hello sir, I have been working at Government research institute for 24 years and I have published 10 research papers on Plant based Anti-oxidants. I want to do Ph.D in Chemistry through distance mode. Can I do Ph.D if being 50 years old? Please suggest me name of any institution at Kolkata to do Ph.D?

Yes, there is no upper age limit for Ph.D programme. You can surely pursue Ph.D on the basis of your work experience you have. Admission will be on the basis of interview conducted by the concerned university.

Being a experienced professional you will be exempted from any written exam or entrance exam. There will be only interview and viva stage for you. You can apply for admission at IGNOU when notification is announced.
