Eligibility criteria and requirement for pursuing Ph.D in Zoology :

Candidate must have passed Master's degree with minimum 55% marks in relevant discipline.
Candidates who qualify UGC NET, CSIT, ICAR SRF, SLET, GATE, GPAT, ICAR hold teacher fellowship are exempted from Ph.D entrance test.
There is no age limit.

Candidate have to pass entrance exam of relevant university. List of entrance exams :
  • Kolkata University PhD in Zoology Entrance Exam
  • Periyar University PhD in Zoology Entrance Exam
  • Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test
  • Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Zoology Entrance Exam
  • Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University PhD in Zoology Entrance Exam
  • Banaras Hindu University PhD in Zoology Entrance Exam
  • Burdwan University PhD Zoology entrance

The eligibility to study PhD in Zoology is a pass in M.Sc in Zoology with 55% marks. The aspirant has to appear for entrance examination conducted by the University for the Admission. These are the two important eligibilities for studying PhD course. After clearing the entrance you have to attend an interview before admission. The universities conduct entrance examinations separately for the admission. You have to choose the university and apply to the course. The course is available in many universities like;

Hello I completed my MSc from open university (Singhania University, Rajasthan) in zoology with 60.5% Marks in the year of 2020.
Am I applicable for PhD? Is there any age limit?
Is there any problem will occur for completing master degree from open university?
