I have completed Post Graduation in English from a recognized university and then M.Ed from IGNOU. Now I want to pursue PhD in Education so, I want to know am I eligible to pursue PhD in Education after completing MA in English and M.Ed? Which College offers PhD in Education?

I am very much happy to tell you that definitely you are eligible to apply for Ph.D course in Education after the completion of Post Graduation in English.
Below I have mentioned the required eligibility criteria for pursuing Ph.D course, just check the eligibility.

Eligibility criteria to do Ph.D:-

Candidates must have completed Master's degree in the relevant field from a recognized University.
Candidates must have scored a minimum of 55% of marks in Master's degree.
Candidates must have a valid NET scorecard.

Candidates after completion of the MA (Education) or Master of Education (M.Ed) with at least 55% marks from a recognized university are eligible to apply for a PhD in Education. Admission to the PhD in Education is done through an entrance examination and interview. Candidates who have qualified NET/SET/GATE/MPhil shall be exempted from the entrance examination. In order to pursue PhD in Education, you must have completed Masters in Education with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
Also you need to appear and qualify in UGC-NET entrance examination, qualifying in which you will become eligible for admission to PhD in Education course.
Since you have completed your masters in Education (M.Ed) from IGNOU which is a recognized university, then you are eligible to pursue PhD but make sure you have scored 55% and above marks in your M.Ed.

Eligibility Criteria Required to pursue PhD in Education after completion of PG in English and M.Ed:

After successful completion of PG in English and M.Ed course, you can pursue PhD in Education course. But besides this, you are required to appear in concerned PhD common entrance examination. You need to appear in respective college's PhD Entrance Examination or else in national level Doctoral program entrance examinations. You must have secured minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation or in qualifying examination.

For Ph.D in education, you need to have a post graduation in education stream with at least 55% marks from a recognised university. There is relaxation of 5% marks for candidates, who belong to reserved category.

Admission will be on the basis of performance in the entrance exam and interview conducted by the concerned university. Just make sure, you apply on time, when there is a notification.
