I have completed my M.A. in Christian Studies is it necessary i do my M.Phil or directly apply for PHD.

Master's Degree is sufficient for getting admission in a Ph.D program. Along with your Master's Degree you need to appear for entrance examination for getting admission in a Ph.D program.

Candidates who have a M.Phil qualification can get admission directly into Ph.D without appearing for entrance examination.

Also, those who have qualified UGC NET/SLET are eligible for Ph.D admission without appearing for any entrance examination.

Hence, you can appear for entrance exam and if you are not able to get admission in Ph.D, then only join M.Phil program.

can you give me some idea for entrance examination Ph.D after master's degree.? I you have some concept about this than please share with me.
