The syllabus of PhD in Sociology is given below;

1. Research Methodology

2. Recent Trends in Sociological Theory

3. Optional specialization paper from the list given below;

a. Industry and Society
b. Indian Society: Poverty and Social Inequalities
c. Environmental Sociology
d. Sociology of Mass Communication and Information Society
e. Social Demography
f. Sociology Migration
g. Social Movements in India
h. Gender and Society

The course duration will be three years minimum.
