Hello friends, I have completed my MA in English. Now successfully join MPhil course in same subject. My aim is to do research on English. I want to study my PhD in Karnatak University. I want to know that Karnatak University takes exam for PhD admission? If yes, then how can I proceed for admission?

Yes, there is an Entrance Test for the admission to do a PhD in English at Karnatak University. However, candidates who have cleared NET/SLET (Karnataka)/GATE/GRE/MPhil shall be exempted from the Entrance Test. Those candidates who have passed Post Graduate Degree in English from a recognized university with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and Physically Challenged candidates) at the Post Graduate Degree shall be eligible to apply for the PhD in English at Karnatak University.
