Re: Universities offering PhD in Sociology course through Distance Learning in India? Eligibility to get admission?
You must have at least 55% marks in your Master's degree in relevant field to become eligible for Ph.D in Sociology. There is relaxation of 5% marks for candidates who belong to reserved category. If you have good score in exams like NET/SLET/GATE/JRF then you will have good chance of getting admission in a top University.
You can apply for admission in following Universities 1. IGNOU, http://ignou.ac.in 2. KSOU, http://karnatakastateopenuniversity.in/ 3. University of Delhi, http://sociology.du.ac.in 4. University of Mumbai, http://www.mu.ac.in 5. Assam University, http://www.aus.ac.in/ 6. Osmania University, http://www.osmania.ac.in 7. Christ University, http://www.christuniversity.in |
