I am a housewife and cannot venture out currently but I want to pursue a course in Psychology so that in future when I want to work this course will come in handy.

the more reputed the college is, more are the chances of getting hired at better place and better salary.
every company prefers pass out of a top college of a particular field. eg: everyone would prefer to hire IIT pass out before any other engineering college pass out.
subconsciously believing better the college, better the education. plus only cream of the students get selected in the best n then it goes hierarchicaly .
