Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
M.tech is more demanding because :
1. for lectureship M.tech is compulsory now. 2. with M.tech a person gain more knowledge in his field. 3. MBA also good but why a person change his field ,in engineering field his aim is to gain technical knowledge. |

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
MBA is best, because M.TECH is more education oriented than MBA ,but MBA is diffent from traditional education, there is large scope to have a good, respected job after MBA than M.TECH

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
MBA is more in demand .Most of the students who have completed even BE,B.Sc in various departments prefer MBA in order to enrich their career. Those who didnt get placed in college campus interviews or those who want to run life by doing business are opting for MBA and thats the reason why MBA became more demand.

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
i think mba is having too much competition with commerce and arts graduates along with engineering graduates and a lot of people do mba every year, this decrease the value.
on the other hand no. of students doing m.tech is much less. so it increases its value. one should go for m.tech |

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
Hi Madusajj,
First of all I would like to Thank you for starting this thread, which might give confidence to many individuals to make a good choice of career. The answer to this big question depends upon the person, who wants to get the degree. If we think practically, it is the attitude and the hard-work that makes the person to taste both Money and Honey. The bottom-line is to persue a career that the Individual "Likes to do/Interested in"... Also, the Institution in which the course {M.Tech [IIT] (or) MBA [IIM] } is persued, earns more demand for the Individual in the Employment Market.. Quote:

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
for engineering graduates Mtech is better than MBA....and also there are lots of institutes for MBA and all those are not certified......so if u want to go for MBA then its very important to enter in a premier institute......

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
I feel it is better to take MBA..Though a person has completed B-tech,one must have administration power to compete successfully with others..that person will get ability to manage his/her company resources efficiently..though a person is completely technically sound,it will be better if he/she is sound at management side also..

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
MBA is more demanding and rewarding. It goes like easy money equals MBA and hard work and less money equals M.Tech. If you are research oriented then opt M.TECH otherwise it is wise for MBA

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
i think from the company's point of view both are mutually dependent, every company needs someone who manages the workforce and it also needs a skilled people..so both technical and managerial fields are required for the growth of the company..u can't compare both of these fields on any basis, it all depends on the interest of the individual to which field he/she chooses.

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
friends,
M.Tech is done by very limited persons means only BE/B.Tech/M.Sc/MCA student can do M.Tech. But the MBA is open to all & now a days almost the period of recession has gone, so market of MBA is very booming. So, MBA is preferable than M.Tech. |

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
The decision is totally depends upon the student whether to go for M.Tech or MBA.
If you think that your technical knowledge of graduation is quite good enough then you can go for M.Tech and then for Ph.D as well. For admit into good mtech colleges you have to appear and score well in GATE exam. But if you think that you want groom yourself in both sides with technical and marketting knowledge then you should go for MBA. |

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
If we look at the present scenario.it is clear that MBA is much more in demand compared to M.Tech.Since MBA gives you better opportunity for job, masses prefer doing MBA and also because atleast in India if you don't do Ph.d after your M.tech it will not be of much help so people prefer doing mba in 2 years rather than spending 4 yrs. again.

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
I thing is thing depend upon the student who will take his degree.
if the student has more interest in technology part then he can can take chance in M.tech. Otherwise if he has interest in business section then he can take chance in MBA. Both are very good in their own region. |

Re: M.TECH OR MBA? which one is more in demand?
Both M-Tech and MBA are not related to each other. One cannot say that M-Tech/MBA is in more demand. Both are not related to each other. Further it's the choice of student that for what he/she is going to opt for.
