Dear Sir, Myself Ajay Pathak. ....and I have done completed my graduation with 48% marks. Presently I am a post graduation student .
Am I eligible for BTC in General Category?

Eligibility for BTC in General Category after Post Graduation is as follows.

You must have completed intermediate with science to be eligible for BTC course.

Yes, You are eligible if you have completed intermediate with science subjects.

Applicant will complete this course in 2 years.

Qualification for BTC course:-

Candidates should have completed their graduation with minimum of 50% marks from a recognised University.
There is 5% relaxation of marks for reserved candidates as per government rules.
Candidates age should be between 18 to 30 years .
There is age relaxation for reserved candidates as per government rules.

The full form of BTC is basic Training Certificate .

Eligibility criteria for BTC course:-
The candidate should have passed bachelor's degree from a recognised University are eligible to apply.

General and OBC candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in bachelor's degree.

The age criteria is 18 to 30 years.

As you said that you are from general category and you have scored 48% of marks. So, you are not eligible for Basic Training Certificate course.

You must have got atleast 50% in the 12th class from any recognized board to be eligible for BTC. And it is 45% for the reserved category.

The duration of BTC course is 2 years.

Total fees range between 30k to 1.2 lakhs for 2 years.

Eligibility criteria for BTC in General Category after Post Graduation:-


✓ Educational Qualification:- To get admission in any of the Basic Teacher Training colleges in the nation is the successful completion of higher secondary or 10+2 level of examination with at least 50 % marks.

Yes, you are eligible for BTC (Basic Training Certificate) after Post-Graduation. The minimum qualification required is a candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. The minimum marks required in aggregate may vary from university to university and admission selection will be on the basis of procedure and selection criteria regulated by the National Council for Teacher Education and the concerning state government. The candidate age should be in between 18 to 30 years.
