The minimum duration of the course is 2 years and the maximum duration is set at 5 years and in order to get admission in the course, you will have to appear and clear an entrance examination conducted by the prospective Institute itself and only after clearing the examination, you will be eligible to get admission in the course.

Re: How many years we need to study to complete masters in Social Work?
According to the eligibility criteria released by the UGC :
* The candidate should be a citizen of India. * The candidate should have completed graduation through any stream under the scheme of 10+2+3 at least form a recognized university. * The candidate should be of 21 years at least at the time of application. * The candidate should be physically and medically fit. So, no matter which graduation degree you pursue, you will be eligible for the Masters in the Social Work. It has a great scope for future as there are many Government Commissions and NGOs which work in this field and may hire you to work for them. So, it is a good career option. You don't need to go through some hard and fast selection procedure. Yes, some of the universities have an entrance test for that but most of them don't. So, you just need to shortlist the university you want to take admission into and apply. That's it. |
