My GATE biotechnology 2017 score is 395 marks is 42.37 and AIR 938 general. Where can I find admission for M.Tech. Is it possible to get IIT or NIT for M.Tech. Where should I apply for admission. Please reply. Kindly requested

After securing 395 marks in GATE examination with AIR of 938, you can get admission in IIT or NIT or in any other top universities. To get admission in IIT or NIT after securing good rank in GATE examination, you need to participate in the GATE examination counselling process which is conducted by IIT/ IISc.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is a national level exam which is conducted every year for getting admission in M.Tech/ M.E course. The GATE score is used by various PSU’s companies as well for their recruitment process.

**You have scored 395 score and All India Rank of 938. I am sorry to say that it is difficult to get admission in IIT’s with this score. But you have a fair chance to get admission in NIT’s. In my opinion you have to apply for CCMT and wait till the last counseling as you will get seat in good NIT’s in the last counseling. Also, you have to apply for other good colleges which conduct their own entrance exam for admission such as VIT vellore, SRM Chennai etc.

With a rank of AIR 938, you definitely have a good chance of admission in IIT or NIT for M.Tech degree. Just make sure you apply for admission, when there is notification.

Admission in NIT will be more than IIT, as you are a general category candidate. Hence, no need to worry about your score.
