Hi, I want to know that Software Engineers also develop mobile apps? Whether companies describe them to develop mobile apps? Why is it so?

Yes, mobile application are being developed by the software engineer only.
Based on your Profile as well as your domain you are assigned the work.

It is not necessary that if you are a software engineer then you will be developing mobile application.
Mobile application development is the work of the engineer who are in the mobile development field.

Actually there are various bands and grades and based on them your role and responsibility is defined.
These are the companies internals, so once you get into any company you will get to know all these things.
