No, IBM is not conducting direct mainframe training for candidates of various domains. It trains the students whom it recruits as freshers. Training is given to the freshers on various domains among which Mainframe is one. IBM is creator of Mainframe and hence is considered the best place to be trained in and work if seeking opportunity in mainframe field. Once you are trained, you will need to pass its training assessment and then you will be given project involving mainframe technology wherein you can gain in-depth knowledge of mainframes.
