Right path for banking job in private sector?
I want to start my carrer with private banks in good position. So, i would request the experts to show me the right path for the same.

Banking is considered an important field in Indian economy because it not only plays a major role in raising the Indian economy but also ensures a big platform of employment. Every year several hundreds of fresh candidates are recruited in various nationalized banks all over India. Getting a job in the banks has become one of the most common dreams of various graduates in modern India as the remuneration is good and the job can be localised within the home state.
From the past few years, the number of applicants for various bank exams has increased considerably thereby raising the competition level to a great extent. Hence you need to work hard, be dedicated and keep on improving yourself to get the best out of the opportunities before you. Since you are interested in working in private banks, so you need to qualify in the IBPS exam or pursue course in IFBI by getting admission through entrance exam conducted by IFBI to get recruited in banks like ICICI, Axis in various posts every year. There are five exams conducted by IBPS every year- two for clerks, two for probationary officers and one for specialist officers whereas other private banks which do not have a tie up with IBPS conduct their exam as per their vacancies and openings. The exams are usually held in the month of March-April and September-October. The advertisement of the exams are published in the leading newspapers and is also available in the official website of IBPS and IFBI and the websites of concerned private banks like ICICI, AXIS.who have tied up with IFBI to take separate exam other than IBPS The eligibility criteria are :- For clerical posts → You must be 21-28 years of age. → You must be a graduate. → Computer knowledge and fluency in english is preferred. For probationary and specialist officers posts → You must be 21-30 years of age. → You must be a post graduate. → Having computer knowledge and fluency in english is an advantage. National Banking Entrance Test conducted by IFBI:- -You should be a graduate/post graduate/MBA with 50% marks in Graduation,XII and X. -You should be born on or after 1st Feb,1989 You need to fill the forms online and pay the requisite exam fees in the concerned branches of banks. After that you need to qualify in the written test. On successful clearing off the cut off score you will be given a valid score card. When the private banks will advertise regarding vacancies in the leading newspapers and official websites of them,you can apply through the valid score card. Then you will be called for the interview if your score is above the cutoff of that specific region. If you clear the interview round, you will be recruited for the post you are applying for. The written test comprises of questions from general knowledge, mathematics (aptitude based) and english. You should frequently visit the website → http://www.ibps.in and http://www.ifbi.com to get updates regarding the various exams and the scorecards. There are various coaching institutes that offer courses where you can seek admission to strengthen your skills and score well in the written test. |
