hi, i'm rajwinder kaur i'm prusuing bca from gndu(punjab)...my question is can i get a job in banking sector on the basis of my 12th standard..i got 74% marks in 12th...i i want to go for banking sector kindly reply me...thanks

The eligibility criteria of the Banking is minimum graduation.After completing the graduation you can apply for Banks.

hear in your 12 you have good percentage.Now you can join any
--B.com
--Engineering then after you also eligible for the banks
In the above two courses you can complete any one depending upon your interest.

Unfortunately only on the basis of 12th marks its far difficult or you can say impossible to get a banking sector job. Today banking sector demands professionals with minimum graduate level education & thus a graduate degree. After acquiring the degree, you can well sit for the bank aptitude test and if you clear the test, you will be called for an H.R interview..and finally if you successfully went through that HR round, you are qualified for a bank sector job.

I don't think that you can enter banking sector on the basis of 12th.
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) which conduct common written exam for Bank PO and Clerk also ask for Graduates be it in any discipline.

You may surely sit for the above exam once you complete your graduation.

BANK JOBS FOR 12TH PASSED STUDENT

DETAILS OF BANK CLERK EXAM

IBPS exam is conduct for BANK CLERK for 19 banks .

Only those candidate have completed 10th are eligible for IBPS CLERK exam.

Your 10th marks must be above 60% then you are eligible for IBPS CLERK exam.

OR

Those candidate have completed 12th with above 50% are eligible for IBPS CLERICAL exam.

Also all candidate age must be in between 18 to 28 years.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

Those are belongs from Indian ,Nepalis, Bhutanese and Tibetan eligible.

THE EXAM PATTERN FOR BANK EXAM:-

Reasoning wіth 50 qυеѕtіοnѕ οf 50 mаrkѕ

English Language wіth 50 qυеѕtіοnѕ οf 25 mаrkѕ

Quantitative Aptitude wіth 50 qυеѕtіοnѕ οf 50 mаrkѕ

General Awareness wіll hаνе special reference tο Banking Industry wіth 50 qυеѕtіοnѕ οf 50 mаrkѕ

Computer Knowledge wіth 50 qυеѕtіοnѕ οf 50 mаrkѕ

Each question carries one mark and there is negative (1/4) .

EXAM DATE:-

online applications for IBPS bank clerk exam 2011-2012, which is planned to be conducted on for 27.11.2011

For written test you must be care about mathematics and general knowledge.

You can enter in banking sector but not only on the basis of high school percentage.You can garnish your carrier as in bank job via taking the exam conducted by individual banks for particular post.
*Now joint clerical exam also conducted by banks..
After Graduation you can also apply for PO(Probationary Officer),in the laps of time various banks recruits for the post of PO..you should have keen observation on the recruitment drives via employment news,or you may remain in touch with official site of banks..e.g. for state bank-www.sbionline.in

How many Percentage we need to become a part of governnent sector to.pass in IBPS

Sorry 12th are not eligible for IBPS examination. Graduation is the minimum qualification for the IBPS clerical and PO examinations.

So get admission into Graduation from a good college and after completion you can apply for IBPS exams.

Along with the Graduation you can start your preparation also so that you are well prepared when you apply for it.

Age Limit for IBPS Exams:

IBPS Clerical - 18 to 28 years

IBPS PO - 21 to 30 years

The above age is for General category and age relaxation is available for other categories.

SC/ST Category - 5 years relaxation

OBC Category - 3 years relaxation

PWD Category - 10 years relaxation

Examination Pattern:

-Objective Type Paper

-Interview for Clerical and GD and PI for PO.

The objective test will have questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Aptitude, English Language Skills, General Awareness and Computer Aptitude.

You have to clear sectional cut off and overall cut off to get a call for Interview.

There is will 0.25 negative marks for every wrong answer.
