Requirements needed to become a Custom Officer:
The basic educational qualification required in order to become Custom officer is "Graduate Degree" or Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. To become an officer in Customs department, you are required to give Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year. There are 27 several services included in Indian Customs and Central Excise Services, to work in which you are required to qualify Civil Services Prelims, Civil Services Mains Exam and Interview. The minimum age required to become Custom officer is "21 years" and the maximum age must not exceed 30 years and there will be an age relaxation applicable for reserved candidates as per government norms. You must have ability to work in flexible schedules and must be able to transfer from location to location when you are on work duty. Besides this, you are required to have a valid vehicle license and never have used drugs. |
