The Indian Institutes of Technology conduct and entrance examination in order to provide admissions to students interested to study Post Graduate Degree engineering courses, in various colleges of India. It is known as GATE or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Students who have an undergraduate degree in Engineering or a post Graduate degree in Science are eligible to apply. Since one is allowed to choose a subject as per his choice, so Physics is one of the popular subjects of interest within students. The paper is objective type with a total of 85 questions, divided into three parts. Part one consist of 20 questions carrying one mark each. Questions, 21-85 carries 2 marks each. 1/3rd of the total marks are deducted on every wrong response.
