Karnataka Public Service Commission-English Literature (Paper I) is an important paper of this prestigious state level examination. The maximum marks one can earn in the paper are 300 marks. The appearing candidates are asked to write answers of all questions within the time duration of three hours. The English Literature (paper I) question Paper is distributed into four different groups or sections. All the questions in the first three groups of this paper are compulsory to be answered. There are only three questions in the last group which the students are supposed to answer. The questions of this paper are generally asked from the renowned and famous stories of Nineteenth Century and from their moral values and lessons. Questions are of different categories like short, medium and long answer type.
