PTU BCA 4th Sem - Operating System (BC-404) Exam - Download Previous year's Question Papers
It includes operating system and its brief introduction, structure, process management, synchronization and deadlocks. Memories (virtual and management) and segmentation, Input and Output system structure, Security, Distributed Operating Systems, Multiprocessing are included as part of the syllabus.
Paper Pattern: Candidate will be provided with the question paper consisting of two sections A and B. Section A will have 1 question and should be answered compulsorily. It is subdivided and carries 20 marks. Out of remaining 6 questions, any 4 should be answered. Each of them carries 10 marks. All are subjective type. For 60 marks, 3 hours is what given to the candidates. Key Points: Majorly the definitions will be asked in the first question. Concepts of deadlock, operating system, memory management, fragmentation, threats should be given more concern. Case studies will be asked over operating systems (LINUX,UNIX, SOLARIS and SCO-UNIX).
