The Mathematics paper of the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination Board carries two hundred as total marks and three hours as duration. There are three section of the paper, and the first section carries Objective based questions, out of which candidates have to attempt all of them. The second section carries a maximum of twenty-one question, out of which candidates have to attempt any fifteen. The third section carries twelve questions, and is sub-divided into three sub-sections. Candidates have to attempt any seven, with at least two from each of the section. The last section also offers seven questions, out of which candidates have to attempt any three and the last seventh question is compulsory to attempt, but it offers internal option.
