There are two broad sections in the question paper, there are five questions in each section from which the candidate must attempt two questions respectively. In section 1, the important topics for studying are salient features of the American Constitution, structure and functioning of the Federation of eth U.S., powers and functions of the American President, differences of the powers of the Senate and House of Representatives. The important short note topics are Bill Of Rights, Committee System in the American Constitution, Judicial Review, President’s Cabinet, and Amendments to the American Constitution. The second part of the paper has the same format. The important broad questions in this section are main features of eth bi-party system in the U.S, functions of the political parties within the system, role of Pressure Groups in American politics, description of the Presidential Electoral system etc. the short note topics are Presidential Primaries, Minor Parties, Presidential elections of a particular year. Students should write atleast 2 questions from both the sections. All of them holding same marks i.e. 20. In total they need to write 5 such answers.
