For admission in top colleges or universities for your B.Tech course you need to clear JEE Main with an excellent score. Your 12th marks will also matter if you want to get admission in IITs and NITs.

Therefore, just be prepared for it because Manipal and other top universities give admission based on JEE Main scorecard.

The eligibility to join B.Tech in Manipal University is a pass in 10+2 with physics, mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with chemistry or biotechnology or biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks.

There will be an entrance examination for the admission. The admission will be done on the basis of marks scored in the Manipal University online entrance test (all India). The student can check the details in the website for the exact date of entrance examination. The website is

To take admission in the top Colleges or Universities in Manipal or around India for studying B.Tech, candidates have to qualify in the Entrance Examinations conducted by the respective State Councils or by Central Councils. Along with the marks scored in the Entrance Examinations, candidates also must scored at least 60% of marks in class 12th in order to be eligible for doing B.Tech.
So, prepare well for the Entrance Examination, your admission will be based on the marks you scored.
