Re: Eligibility to appear in 10th CBSE Board exam for a candidate in between 14 to 15 years of age?
The minimum age required to appear in CBSE 10th standard board examinations is 15 years. If in any case, the candidate is not able to satisfy the minimum age requirement, he/she need to submit the medical certificate which is obtained from recognised doctor in the school, so, that he will be allowed to appear in CBSE 10th standard board examinations.
Since, your son is 11 years and 8 months old being a 7th standard student, by completion of his 10th standard he will attain the age of more than 14 years 8 months, by submitting medical certificate, your son is eligible to appear in CBSE 10th standard board examinations. |

As per the CBSE new circular, to be eligible for appearing in the 10th board examination the age of student must be over 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which student get admitted in the Class 10th.
So, being 11 years and 8 months old at present and studying in Class 7th there is no issue about your son's eligibility for appearing in the CBSE 10th board examination as his age is enough to satisfy the age criteria for the same. For more queries regarding the academics and curriculum followed by CBSE you can refer to the link www.cbse.nic.in or www.mycbseguide.com. |

Yes your son will be very well eligible for class 10th when he will be in class 10th because he will be fulfill the eligibility criteria of CBSE .
CBSE has defined the age limit criteria for class 10th. CBSE has only defined the lower age limit criteria for class 10th. A candidate must have minimum age of 14 years to be appeared in class 10th. There is no any upper age limit criteria defined by CBSE board. |
