My son is in Class-VI, he studied from 2nd standard in same CBSE Affiliated school. His age is 12 years. When can he write CBSE Board exam of 10th? I would like to know the Age Criteria. Thank you.

There is no minimum age limit required to appear in 10th standard CBSE Board examinations. The CBSE Board has not specified any minimum age limit to appear in 10th standard Board examinations. Candidates who are pursuing 10th standard from CbSE Board are eligible to appear in 10th standard CBSE Board examinations. Since, your son is 12 years old being a 6th standard student, by the completion of his 10th standard, he will attain the age of 16 years, so, he is eligible to appear in CBSE 10th standard Board examinations.

You have not mentioned his date of birth to check whether he is eligible or not for 10th Class CBSE Examination. As far as your son's present age is concerned, he would reach 16 years of age by the time he would join 10th Class. As far as CBSE Age limits are concerned, the maximum age of a candidate must not exceed 16 years.

CBSE 10th Class Age Criteria: (As on 31st March of the year in which admission is sought)

* Minimum age - 14 years

* Maximum age - 16 years

Important Note: Make sure your son's age limit is 14 years to 16 years to appear in CBSE Board 10th Class Examination.

My daughter has born on aug 2009 now studying in 5th stand in state syllabus, wanted to join in 6th stand in cbsc for 2019-2020 academic year..is she eligible? Or she has to repeat 5th in cbse?
