To qualify in 12th standard Physics examination of CBSE board, you need to score minimum 24 marks out of 70 marks. By scoring 24 marks in Physics theory paper out of 70 marks, you will be considered as a qualified candidate. I suggest you not to score only qualifying marks because, in JEE Main and Advanced examinations weightage of your 12th group subjects will be taken into consideration while ranking. So, I suggest you to prepare well and score good marks in your 12th CBSE board examination.

The examination of Physics and Chemistry of CBSE 12th board are divided into two parts
(i) Theory paper ( 70 Marks ) & (ii) Practical paper ( 30 Marks ).

The examination of theory paper in taken in the examination center in which you must have to secure 23 marks for passing .

Where as the examination of practical paper is taken in yopur own school in which you will have to score 12marks

Hello sir,

CBSE conduct Physics exam in secondary class in two stages.

One is Theory paper of 70 marks.
You must have to score 33 percent of total marks.

Second paper is practical paper.
You must also score passing marks in practical also, otherwise you will be failed in that session.

Thank you.

CBSE conducts its physics examination paper of 100 marks.

This 100 marks are divided into two parts:

30 marks of practical in which the school from which the students are studying will provide on the performance of students in practical.

70 marks of theory paper in which candidates have to appear at different examination centre and copies are investigated by the board.

For both the parts the pass marks are 12 and 23 marks respectively.

According to the norms of the various education boards in our country the minimum qualifying marks for :

Theory : 33%

Practical : 40%

As 12th Physics in CBSE is 70 marks for theory then you should have

Theory : 24/70

Practical : 12/30

Total of : 33/100

CBSE conducts its physics paper in class 12 of 100 marks .The examination is taken in two paper :---

1. Practical :- This is of 30 marks in which you have to score at least 12 marks to pass .

2. Theory :- This is of 70 marks out of which you to score at least 23 marks to qualify .

It is compulsory to qualify in both the paper to pass in the physics paper .

NOTE :----
But better way of scoring more than 80+ is by all the NCERT books derivation and numerical problem .
