Hello Sir/Madam, I am in 10th standard. After completing my 10th, I want to take Commerce. Actually I want to become an IPS Officer. So, through studying Commerce I can join IPS? Is it the best way? Kindly suggest me about this.

No, you can become an IPS officer, even if you have studied arts, there are no limitations to it.

In order to become an IPS officer, first of all you will have to complete your graduation and then you will have to appear for UPSC examination and after clearing the examination, you will have to appear for a physical training and after clearing that you will be most eligible to appear for a PI, upon clearing which it will lead you your goal.

After completion of your 10th you can take admission in any steam as per your interest such as Science, Commerce and Arts.
A candidate must have completed a degree course in any discipline from a recognised University with minimum 50% marks. You have to qualify the civil services exam that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.

IPS in Indian Police Services.

Those who wants to become IPS officer, must appear for Civil Services Examination.

Eligibility criteria;-
Qualification is bachelor's degree.
Age limit is 21 to 32 years.
You can take any steam in tenth and twelfth 12th which suits you and also which is according to your potential and strength.

After 12th, you must do bachelor's degree to apply for this exam.
