What is the age limit consideration followed for CBSE students?

My daughter date of birth 11.05.2005. Now she was studying in 5 th STD in Chennai. In this school one of the cbse. Due to my job transfer, decided to change another school in Chennai. It's also cbse.
The new school management didn't give the admission to 6 the STD, due to age problem, and say same continuation 2 months age difference at the time of 10 the STD, so, she was not eligible.
Actually, what is the age criteria for case 10 the STD,
How at present school give the admission to my daughter.
My daughter is eligible or not to appearing 10 th std in same date of birth, at present studying 5 th std.

Age of candidate must be between 14 to 16 years while getting admission in 10th class.
Age of candidate must be between 10 to 12 years to get admission in 6th class on the 31st of that year.
Your daughter is 2 months younger than the prescribed age.
She can't get admission in 6th class this year. She will be eligible next year. But if she is studying in 5th class this year then she will be eligible to get admission in 10th at this date of birth.

I understood your problem and there is a solution too. First thing you must do is take admission for 6th std in another school with previous noted date of birth there by you can appear for even 10th std with the same age.

But you need to forgot the Original date of birth in terms of education criteria. And also you must join with out any gap in between your daughter educational career. Since it will effect at the time of higher studies.

Age limits required for 10th std student in CBSE :

<> Minimum Age : 14 years

<> Maximum Age : 16 years.

Age limit for class 10th CBSE student:

The student seeking admission to
class 10th Board examination has to satisfy the requirement of age limits (minimum and maximum) as determined by the State/UT Government and applicable to the place where the school is located.

The minimum age should be 14 years at the time of examination and maximum age should be 16 years.

Yes, your daughter will be eligible as she will be in between of 14 to 16 years of age at the time of class 10th examination.

As per the CBSE guidelines, generally the age required for appearing in the CBSE 10th Board examination is 14 years and 4 months at the time of examination.

Now as your daughter's date of birth is 11th May 2005, so she is definitely eligible for her admission in Class 6th in the academic session 2015-2016 as per your daughter's academic she will probably write his 10th board examination in March 2020 and by this time her age will be nearly 15 years which satisfies the age requirement.

So you can consult with school management of your desired school and clear all the misunderstanding otherwise you should look for the any other good CBSE school for avoiding a loss of one academic year of your daughter's academics..

The minimum age limit for appearing class 10 CBSE is that the candidate must have completed 14 years as on 31st March in which the admission is sought.

The maximum age is 16 years as on 31st March in which the admission is sought.

One can take admission in other boards or respective state boards, where the child is eligible for admission.

It is recommended you to get her admitted ion class 5 again in some other or the same school so that she will be most eligible then to appear for her 10th boards, as she will have attained the age of 14 years which is the minimum age required to appear for 10th board examination.

Therefore, it is advisable to get your child admitted in 5th standard and to face no such problem further.
