What is the current Secondary Higher Sec. school system in India?


I want to know the complete system of education in India of 10th and 10 1, 10 2. What is the state and school based exam system? Do we give 2 kinds of exam in 10th? Can i get admission only in CBSE college in 11th, if i give CBSE exam? I study in 10th in a CBSE private school in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and want to crack IIT in 12th. So I have to decide between state and cbse college, but I don't know the system. Please help! Thanks in advance!!

CBSE Board is anyway better than State Board. This is because of the structure in which it has been framed. The Syllabus, answer pattern and marking system are well structured and at par with the competitive exams like IIT, JEE and others. So it's better to go for CBSE board.
