Eligibility to pursue Ph.D in Sociology for retired workman?


Dear Sir,

I intend doing Research in the field of Suicides of young graduates who are joining the IT Sector and to address their problems. I have completed my BA from Bangalore having taken Sociology, Economics and Political Science as my electives. Now, I am a retired person. The last position held by me was Asst. Manager- Purchase in an MNC Engineering Industry

The eligibility to pursue PhD in Sociology is a pass in Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. There is no age limit to do PhD in Sociology course. The candidate should appear for an entrance examination and interview conducted by the university for the admission to PhD in Sociology program. Eligibility criteria for Ph.D course in Sociology:-

1)Those candidates who have completed masters in Sociology from a recognized University with above 55% marks are eligible for Ph.D course.

2)There are no age criteria for Ph.D course.

You must have a valid UGC NET score card.
