I would be interested in knowing if NICMAR distance education course is recognized well in India as a regular course or lesser than that and if it is , is it recognized abroad too and to what extend especially for people who are BE/BTech with more than 5-10 years experience.

Yes, NICMAR is a recognized institute for studying and you shouldn't be worried about its recognition. Your qualification will be well recognized in India or abroad.

Just make sure you fulfill other criteria. There are some private companies, who won't accept distance mode courses. Hence, make sure you fulfill other criteria too.
