I finished my MBBS in ukraine and im planning to do my P.G in abroad and if i finish my p.g in abroad ... will i be able to practice the medicine in india and will i be recognized by MCI ??
please answer for this ... a kind request

Of course , Yes . But on one condition .
i.e., The Degrees will be recognized only if they are for enrollment of medical practitioners in the countries from where they are obtained .
Because the Union government , issued a notification under the “ Indian Medical Council Act , 1956 “ . It is basically there to recognize Post graduate medical degrees awarded abroad in the countries like

→ Canada
→ Australia
→ United Kingdom
→ United States of America
→ New Zealand

Basically countries regarding are referred to as the English speaking countries )
Basically the decision was to overcome the shortage the medical practitioners in India .
NOTE : The degrees will be recognized on condition that they are recognized for enrollment of medical practitioners in the countries from where they are obtained .
Foreign postgraduate medical degrees used to be recognized in India in the past . But now the system was changed , i.e Mutual recognition in which India recognized postgraduate degrees of those countries which recognized its .

So since the government has recognized foreign degrees now , those holding them like you need not go through the screening test .

Usually this test is stipulated by the MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA. The recognition has come as a boon now to Indian Students who go abroad like you .
Since you are willing to acquire a Postgraduate degree after you MBBS you no need to worry at all . And now you can then come back and Practise.

One positive aspect is that those having foreign degrees would be able to practise back in India .So I think you are so lucky .

I would like to know as to how I can register my UK post-graduate degrees with MCI. I am a Radiation Oncologist from UK and am supposed to register as a Radiation Practitioner with AERB. However AERB are unable to accept me as Radiation Practioner as they do not see my UK degree in the MCI list of approved Radiotherapy degree.

Ia an Indian doctor with a postgraduate degree from Russia allowed to practice his specialization in India? Is the PG recognition limited only to the Englisg speaking countries??

Hospitals like narayan hrudyalay. Ruby hall. Kg hospital. I think one who holds foreign Medical degrees should clear the screening test FMGE to practice in India.
The recent studies shows that the pass percentage in these exams has decreased from the earlier days. So, even if u hold Post Graduation degrees, it is mandatory to clear the screening test in India to practice as a doctor. Candidates holding foreign medical degrees have increased and there is a huge competition for this exam today.

hai my name is surya ,i would like to ask that i am studying in china which is recognised by mci and who .i started my mbbs first year in 2013.but i failed my mbbs first year due to some personal problems and college allow me to study again frist year mbbs in the same college.with the batch 2014 ie my juniours. so i again studied my mbbs frst year in the same college.so is there any problem to me to write the mci exam.after completing my mbbs course from 2014 to 2019

I think you can practice in India after clearing FMGE. It is the qualifying exam that one needs to take up in order to practice in India. And MCI do recognize some foreign Medical degrees from some selected countries.

What if I done pg in germany can I start practice in India

I did my mbbs from India. Did pg diploma from Bangkok, Thailand which is not in mci list. How to register myself...plz guide

Can you please tell me whether MRCP(Ireland) awarded in 1982 which is recognised by General Medical Council,UK and registered by them reflecting in my GMC,UK Certificate,is it recognised by MCI as Post graduate degree since it is from a English speaking country
