I am Chetan Sharma. I have done my graduation (B.com) and after that i started my career in Share Market and now I am working in BPO Industry. But now i want to join Delhi police at the age of 26 years. So kindly tell me about the maximum age limit set for applying for job in Delhi Police?

Age limit for applying for job in Delhi Police is 20 to 25 years.
Relaxation in age is also there as per government norms.

Candidate must have completed his/her graduation from any recognised university.

Maximum Age Criteria Required to apply for job in Delhi Police:

There is a vast career opportunities in Delhi Police at several levels. Important recruitment's are for the following posts.

>> Constable - 18 to 21 years
>> Ministerial Cadre - 18 to 25 years
>> Sub Inspector - 20 to 25 years
>> Assistant Commissioner of Police - 18 to 25 years

If you belong to General or Unreserved category, then I am extremely sorry to say that you are not eligible. But if you belong to any other reserved category viz.,
* SC/ ST candidate
* Ex-Servicemen
* Sportsmen of distinction
Then in this you are eligible to apply for this recruitment as there is an age relaxation of 5 years for reserved category candidates.

**For applying for job in Delhi Police you must have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August of the year of examination and must not have attained 30 years of age on that date.

**The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

**The upper age limit is also relaxed in favour of Defense Services Personnel.
