Many of the candidates will not give that much importance to prepare for General English in a better manner as a part of preparation for bank exams. But English is also having its own importance.

If you are qualified in remaining all the sections like
-Reasoning
-Quantitative aptitude
-General Awareness
-Computer Awareness, without qualifying in English you will not get through the written exam.

To score high in this section, the major areas you need to focus are
-Functional Grammar like Tenses, voice changing, articles, prepositions, direct & indirect speech.
-Comprehension
-Vocabulary.

To build up vocabulary learn meanings for 5 new words every day and try to use those words in your regular conversations.

In order to answer Comprehension questions in less time, you should have to have quick reading habit. If you don't have that, try to acquire that. Read English news papers regulary. Through this you can improve reading quickly and understanding the same.

To be strong enough in Grammar, practice various sample papers on Grammar and know the things like which words to use sentences and where to use and the way how to use them.

If you are strong enough in Grammar, obviously, just by seeing the sentence you can tell where the mistake is in the sentence.

So, have good preparation to General Englis also as a part of preparation for bank exams.

Hi friends...
My self Dinesh Dongre .. i have selected in SBI bank Clerk Reently...
i frankly say you that my English is also not good
and when i attempted the exam i used to think about it but i gives you some tips follow them and you will see how fast you select in bank exam..:-
1.Firstly purchase Chatterjee English Speaking course book and practise last models and article given in books at once it will take 30 days time to practice daily...
2. along with practice you should read daily Newspaper Because news paper clears your doubt for to, the ,a ,an, conjunction , articles, composition extra..
3.Daily practice of English Section from model test paer..
4.read the unseen passage care fully and while answering the questions read it again it will give you 10 marks....
5.Remember no one is perfect and i think you are the good and efficient you can do anything so make you efforts ...

6.By the way Bank decides the cutoff marks... i saw some banks cut off marks for general category it was 10/40 Sbi, 6-9/40, etc.. so it is not a big deal
if you attempt remaining section correct so you will select in any bank exam...

So dear All The Best for Your Upcoming Exams.....
I HOPE YOUR FUTURE WILL BRIGHT...
