i have passed gp rating and sailed 38 months on coastal supply vessel.my qualification is 10th can i appear for 2nd mate fg?
What are the requirements required for 2nd mate fg and NCV plz replay sir.

Along with the sea time of 36 months you need to have cleared your 12th standard. Your score in Physics, Chemistry, Maths should be minimum of 60%. So you need to clear your 12th exam before progressing for the 2nd Mate exam.

mmd is not allowing candidate to give orals
they are asking for cadet record book which is not required for 2nd mate.
this is not fair
i hope they let us give

i had completed my 11 months in fg vessels and now i am going 2 do 9 months on supplier vessels, currenetly i am serving as a deck cadets. my question is that for completion of 18 months sea time 9 months of sea time on supplier vessel will be counted or not???

i passed nwko(ncv) written exam and having pcm 76 % but in english 50 % can i appear for 2nd mate fg in india. if yes where i get this rule on dg site.

i have done 30 months ,21 as a TRAINEE SEANAN and 09 month as a ORDINARY SEAMAN. my qualification 10+2 with (pcm) 65% and 50% in english in 10th and 10+2. so i request you to send me the requirements and for mmd assessment also

u can
provide ur all vls are above 3000 grt...... if they less than 3000 bt above 500, ur experience is counted 2/3

Yes.PCM ie: Science stream is required for appearing the 2nd.Mates exam.But on the basis of 10th.grade ,if you do the GP Rating course you can after 3years of seatime ,appear for 2nd.Mates exam.Nowadays,getting the seatime after GP Rating is a difficulty as supply was more and demand is too less for ratin
