Procedure to join Defence Job being a candidate pursuing final year of Mechanical Engineering?
sir, i am KIRAN, presently studying final year mechanical engg. i am interested to join in defence job. so kindly give me the procedure that i want to follow up for the same.

Being a final year candidate pursing Mechanical Engineering you can apply, appear and crack CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II to join Defence Service like Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.
The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream or B.Tech. Degree from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental health. The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test. For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in You can join Defence Service through Technical Entry Scheme(TES) after completion of B.Tech. Degree with at least 60% marks from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical Fitness. |
