sir iam studying b.tech 2nd year in eluru. sir i want to study in IIMA how much score i have to get to study in IIMA. pleae give me reply sir.

The higher the score the easier to get a call for the interview. You need to ensure that you have a 97 to 98 percentile overall. Also for each of the areas you need to ensure that you have above 95 percentile. Also along with preparing for these exams you need to make sure that you be well prepared for the personal interview round. You need clear this round too to be finally selected.

IIM A does not have fixed criteria relating to CAT scores or for that matter academics ... to get a call for PI you have to get a minimum cutoff percentile in all the 3 sections quant ,DILR ,VA, which is generally in the range of +95%ile
.... with overall percentile upwards of 99%ile generally 99.3 around,
Please remember that percentile depends on total no of applicants appearing in the exam hence a 99ile out of say 1.90 lakh is not the same as that out of 2.4 lakh,, so prepare keeping the above in mind and let IIM A worry about the rest..

Their is no such fixed standards for CAT score in the IIM. In the year 2007, candidates with 140 marks out of 300, In the year 2008, candidates with 145 out of 360 marks and in the year 2009, candidates with 240 out of 450 marks got call from the IIM. IIM prepares its merit list with 25% cut-off in all subjects and on the basis of the paper.

Anything over 95% would be a better bet....

generally the cuttoff vary according to the applicants per year......
in general minimum percentile for every year is 95%
and over all around 99percentile....

IIM A is the most preffered college in management sector so it is not so easy to get admission there so you have to score atleast 97-98 percentile to get admitted there

start preparation when you are in final year
and yes you can clear in first attempt.

I HAVE JUST GIVEN MY B.COM (HONOURS)2ND YEAR EXAM ,CAN I GIVE THE CAT EXAM TO BE HELD IN 2011.
HOW MUCH PERCENTAGE SHOULD ONE HAVE TO BE ELIGIBLE TO GIVE THE EXAM BEING A STUDENT OF DELHI UNIVERSITY.

Now IIMA is 8th rank in world fir best B-Schools and India top 1 rank have secured.

you have to get more than 99 percentile above for admission in IIMA.

Every IIM to send call letter to Aspirant based on CAT percentile.
After every Aspirant received the call letter.ever IIM follow to give the Admission based on some selection Procedure that is as follows

candidate have to attend the Group discussion or Essay writing or personal Interview or to take the consideration based on 10th, +2,Bachelor's degree percentages and CAT percentile.

IIMs follow above any one and give admission to student

IIM Ahmadabad is the top most B-school in India.

Toppers in CAT exam are get a chance to get admission in IIM A..

So, If you want to get admission in IIM A , then you have to be one of those toppers..

To become a topper in CAT exam you have to score 100 percentile in CAT exam.
So, work hard and do the best..

IIM A is he best management insitute in india. for getting into it, only CAT percentile doesn't matters.
these days, for getting into the IIMs, CAT score only matters to 40-50%, and that too a very hiigh one.
for IIM A, you should be having at least a minimum percentile above 99.
apart from this, you should be having a consistent performance in your class 10th, 12th and in your graduation with approx. above 80%.
if you have these figures in your academics, then only you'll get a call from IIM A.

In order to get call from IIM A, you need to score alteast 99.5+ percentile
and your 10th, 12th and graduation marks should be good.

You would be called for GD/WAT and PI
final selection is made based on 10th, 12th, graduation marks, work ex, CAT score, GD/WAT and PI

You need to do well in all the component.
