Possibility to get admission in IIM-A for a candidate who has secured 99% in CAT?
sir,
I got 95% in my 10th , 94% in my 12th but 60% in b tech CSE. What is my chance into iim A as i got 99 percentile in cat....... |

First of all, congratulations for scoring such high percentile in CAT. However, there is no guarantee of getting IIM-A (Ahmedabad) even with a percentile of 99. This is because there are other factors in the final selection process. Although you have good 10th and 10+2 scores but your career record went down in your B.Tech course. So this might go against you. Moreover, the cutoff goes mostly above 99 percentile. However, there are other selection rounds like group discussion and interview and the final selection will be done on the basis of CAT score and the performance in these rounds. Hence nothing can be said from before as it depends on other applicants as well who got 99 percentile and above in CAT. However, nothing to get disheartened, you will definitely get call from other IIMs.
