hello!!

after X One has the choice to choose between branches like medical,non-medical,arts and commerce.But to become an engineer you are required to take either non medical branch or medical branch with maths.....

or you can say science side with maths...

what can be subject combination to become an Engineer?

----those who have subjects like PCM can apply for engineering entrance exams..
----whereas those having PCM +Biology or PCB+maths can apply for engineering as well as medical entrance exams...

hence most people would advice you to take PCM and i would like to do the same but in case you want to do both you can take that....

hence choose PCM if you only want to become an engineer.........

There are three streams to choose after your 10th:-
1.Science.
2.Commerce.
3.Arts.
In Science also,you have two options,PCM and PCB.
If you want to be an engineer,opt for PCM which means Physics,Chemistry and Maths as your main subjects in your 12th.
If you want to be a doctor,go for PCB which means Physics,Chemistry and Biology will be your main subjects in your 12th.
Since you want to be an engineer,you have to opt for PCM stream.
After your 12th board exams,you will have to crack entrance exams if you want to take admission in engineering course.
Some of the engineering entrance tests conducted in our country are:-
1.IIT-JEE-For IITs.
2.AIEEE-For AIEEE and some other govt. and private colleges.
3.BITSAT-For BITs Pilani.
4.COMED-For Colleges in Bangalore.
5.WBJEE-For Colleges in West Bengal.
6.ORISSA JEE-For colleges in Orissa.,etc.
So,first complete your 12th studies and after that,appear in competitive exams.For entrance exams,you will have to prepare side by side with your 12th studies.
You can join a good coaching for that.

Sir, my son has passed 10 2 in non medical stream, but my question is that as whether he can take addmission in 10 1 medical as he wants to become a doctor MBBS).

After 10th become an engineering you can face following exam:-
AIEEE
IIT JEE

Eligibility Criteria
candidate should be 12th pass with 60% marks.candidate can attempt JEE only twice.

after 10 to becocme an ias u dont need to choose any paticular subjects u just need to be a graduate student

after 10th you have 3 streams to choose from. and they are
science
arts
commerce.
So if you want to do engineering then you have to choose science.
in science you can choose PCM or PCMB
if you choose PCM then you are entitled only to appear for engineering entrance exams
Whereas of you choose PCMB then you can appear for both medical and engineering entrance exams.
P=Physics
C=Chemistry
M=Maths
B=Biology.

Hello I am Shivanshu and I have recently given my class X board exams and I am hoping for CGPA 9.2 or above...I am very confused about stream selection in class XI.I am very good in general knowledge and social science but I wont opt arts stream.I am also good in general science and average in mathematics.This time also my maths and science exams didn't went very well despite of my good preparations.I have tremendous knowledge of history and also geography.I am also good at understanding.I am unable to decide whether to choose PCM or Commerce.I am not interested in chemistry.Little bit interested in physics but only cosmology (as a hobby).I think my English is okay and my social science knowledge can help me in cracking CLAT exam and commerce background will help in pursuing corporate law as a career.But I am still confused.PLEASE END MY DILEMMA AND AFTER READING ABOUT ME TELL ME WHAT SHOULD I OPT PCM OR COMMERCE.YOU CAN ALSO MAIL ME AT [email protected] REPLY QUICKLY I AM UNDER GREAT PRESSURE.
