my name is hritwik mishra i am studying in std.XI Sci. maharashtra board.I want to be an IAS so please tell me what to do after 12th board exam

The qualifications to became an IAS are as folloes:
(i) Age limits : 21-30 years. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories). (ii) Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification So after 12th go for graduation. you can opt for bsc degree taking any one of the subjects among Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics or Zoology |

The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative civil service of the executive branch of the Government of the Republic of India. The officers of the IAS play a major role in managing the bureaucracy of both the Union Government (Central Government) and the state governments, with its officers holding strategic posts across the country. It is one of the three All India Services 1)-To become an IAS officer first you should have to complete a gradution degree after completing your 12 class. 2)-after that you can give the exam for IAS conducted by UPSC every year . 3)-to be eligible for exams your age must be between 21to 30 years of age.there is relaxation in age limit for sc/st(5years) and OBC(3 years) best of luck |

Very good decision that you want to write Civil Services Examination and become an IAS officer..
all you have to do is complete your 12 th with good percentage of marks and moreover after completing this take any good stream which will have some social studies subjects like History geography so that it can be useful for your preparation.. after your bachelor's register your name for IAS exam become good IAS officer long way to go all the very best ~aditya~ |

As u are in 11th now with science stream...so after completion of higher secondary level..u are advisable to go for a simple graduation course of your choice... Have a side-by-side preparation for IAS..This will save your time and probably won't force u to drop an year....Keep an idea of eligibility criteria.. IAS examination is common for all. No matters whether you boy or girl. After finishing your 12th std. Do some degree in any subjects. Because degree is must for every Job opportunities. If you are really very interest on doing IAS examination first join good IAS teaching center. They guide you and keep exams to pass in the Preliminary IAS exam. Preliminary exam is the qualify exam to appear at IAS examination. Search some good center near by your area and inquire to them what doubts you have? My wishes to your future. |

It is one of the three All India Services. UPSC Entrance examination The Civil Services Examination is used for recruitment for many Indian administrative bodies. Civil Service Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. It has three stages Preliminary Exam, a Main exam, and an interview. Now there will be no optional subjects in the preliminary examination. Instead there will be a second paper which will be common for all candidates. It will check the administrative aptitude of candidates-hence its name - the Civil Service Aptitude Test [CSAT].It comprises of Aptitude, General Mathematics,Comprehensive English, etc. Academic Eligibility A degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be a Deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification. Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination. Candidates with professional and technical qualifications recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees. Candidates who have passed the final year of MBBS or any Medical Examination but are yet to complete the internship can also appear for the Main Examination. Minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for IAS examination is to be graduate in any dicipline.
So you need to complete your graduation after 10+2 to be eligible for the exam. Final year appearing students are also eligible for the examination. |

To become an IAS officer, you need to appear for the Civil Service examination conducted by the UPSC.
The Minimum Eligibility conditions to appear for the exam is as follows: Educational Qualification: Candidate must have a graduation degree in any field from a recognized university. Candidates in the final year of the exam can also apply. Age Limit: Candidate must have achieved minimum 21 years of age as on 1st August of the year of the exam. To appear for IAS exam,you should have Minimum graduation degree and age should be between 21 to 30 years.
As you have finished your 12th standard,take any graduation course you interested,complete the course,then you can appear for exam. To crack IAS exam,you should have lot of stuff,to have stuff,you have to start preparation right now,while pursuing your graduation course. yes a girl also can write exam....
for IAS exam as any Graduate from a recognised university or a college in India is the minimum eligibility criteria for IPS. He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination. UPSC conduct CIVILSERVICE exam for top service like IAS,IPS,IFS and for other government jobs.Even this onwards the pattern of exam also changed as it doesnot have any special subject and the paper will be same for all the candidates. |

You can join any institute which offers coaching for IAS exam.There are institutes like Narayana which offers coaching in Hyderabad. And in Delhi also nice coaching centres are there.

For IAS, one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
The selection pattern will be by -CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test - Civil Services Main examination -Interview. Here is the eligibility criteria for IAS exam. Academic qualification : -One should be a graduate from a recognized university. Age criteria : One should be in the age group of 21-30 years (General) For OBC candidates : 21-33 years For SC/ST candidates : 21-35 years . Maximum number of attempts : For General : Maximum of 4 attempts For OBC : Maximum of 7 attempts For SC/ST : No limit on number of attempts. So, I would suggest you to complete your graduation first with good percentage of marks. By the time you complete your graduation, be good enough in General knowledge which will be the major focus in CSAT exam. |

Hello Hritwik right now you are in 12th standard so you have to complete your Graduation to become an IAS officer and your age should be greater than 21 years.
now at this stage you should focus on general knowledge, general science, current affairs. In science stream mostly Physics questions based on Materials properties are asked. You should focus on english. Synonims, Antonyms , correct words, arrange in correct sequence, passage are asked, so please focus on these parts mostly. Lucent book can be refer for general knowledge. |

to become IAS officer you have to appear in Indian civil service examination. the educational qualification requires for civil service examination is candidate should have minimum of graduation degree in any discipline from any recognised university. also the age of the candidate must be in between 21 to 30 for general category and relaxation is there for reserved category.
so after completion of 12th you have to take admission in graduation in any subject. for this you may take admission in a science subject in general B.Sc or you may go for other study like engineering, BCA, Medical etc. after 3 years or 4 years completion of graduation you have to appear in civil service preliminary examination. if you can clear the preliminary examination then you have to appear in civil service main examination. after clearing main examination you may be selected for IAS officer. so now you have to concentrate on your study. you have to study so many subject to give best in the examination. after completion of your graduation think about the civil service examination. best of luck. |

For appearing into the IAS exam you must need to be a graduate from any recognized university. So after 12th board you have to apply for graduation. However you can do your graduation in any discipline regarding science, commerce or arts. After completion of graduation you can apply for the IAS exam conducted by upsc. The age limit will be 21 to 30 years. The number of attempt will be 4 for general candidate, 7 for OBC and no limit for SC/ST. |

So still plenty of time is there in your hands. First try to finish your bachelors degree with good percentage of marks and in the mean time be good enough in aptitude and general awareness (current affairs) which will be mainly focussed in CSAT. |

To become an IAS officer one should need to clear the Civil Services Examination conducted by upsc
The scheme of examination has been changed it is now: Paper-I One of the Indian Languages to be selected by the candidate from the 18 languages included in the VIIIth Schedule to the Constitution (Qualifying Paper-300 Marks) Paper-II English (Qualifying Paper- 300 Marks) Paper-III Essay 200 Marks Papers IV & V General Studies (300 Marks for each paper) 600 Marks Eligibility Criteria for IAS examination: 1. Very good decision that you want to write Civil Services Examination and become an IAS officer.. all you have to do is complete your 12 th with good percentage of marks and moreover after completing this take any good stream which will have some social studies subjects like History geography so that it can be useful for your preparation.. after your bachelor's register your name for IAS exam become good IAS officer long way to go all the very best Thanks |

u can do btech of any bachelor degree,after that u can apply for ias officer.generally preparation of one year after b tech is very affective.......
