How many preceding year a student has to study in Tamil Nadu for qualifying Normal quota?


sir,

please let me know if a student studied abroad till 10th and is currently doing 12th in tamil nadu, does she/he qualify for tamil nadu engineering college couselling directly or does they come in nri quota....

total years studied in Tamil nadu is only 2 years. how many preceding years a student has to study in tamil nadu for qualifiying in normal quota.

My son studied till 8th standard in ICSE school in tamil nadu ,then now studying in Qatar in CBSE school from 8th standard ,is is considered under local quota or NRI quota for engineering colleges in India

till which class an indian can study in abroad to avoid nri quota?
