GADVASU CET is conducted by Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. This test is held for the admission to B.F.Sc course conducted in College of Fisheries, Ludhiana. The duration of this course is five years.

Structure of GADVASU CET- B.F.Sc

This test carries only one paper. Time period specified to finish this paper is three hours.

This paper is split into three parts with different subjects. The subjects are Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Questions are objective in nature. Number of questions specified for each subject is given below.

Each question will be given one mark if the answer is correct. In this test there is no negative marking.

Eligibility Criteria

Plus two or equivalent is the minimum qualification needed as eligibility. It should be from a recognized Board or University. Candidates should qualify it with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English having an aggregate of 50%.SC/ST candidates need only an aggregate of 40%.It is specified that the age of candidates should not surpass seventeen years.

How to Apply?

Application can be obtained from the office of Dean, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University,   Ludhiana – 141004 with prospectus. Applicants can collect the forms from there by paying Rs.900/- in the cash counter. If they prefer to collect through post, then DD of Rs.950/- should be sent to the concerned authority. DD should be taken in the name of the Comptroller, GADVASU Ludhiana -141004, payable at Ludhiana. If NRI candidates prefer to collect the forms personally, then they should pay Rs.2000/- in the cash counter.

If they prefer by post, then Rs.2200 should be paid. For paying examination fee DD of Rs.1700 should be taken. It should be taken in the name of the Controller, GADVASU Ludhiana -141004.The place where it should be payable is Ludhiana. Authority will accept only completed application with this DD. Late fee of Rs.600/- will be charged if applicants do not send applications within stipulated time.

How to fill the Form?

If applying for admit card, use green colored form and for counseling use white colored form. Applicants should consider this thing while applying for admit card or counseling. Applications are acceptable only if the applicants fill their applications personally. Latest photograph is needed for Green form. Color photograph with passport size is preferable. There will be specified place on the form where it should be affixed. While submitting white colored form a candidate should make sure that all the specified documents are along with it.

Candidate should put their signature on the place specified in the form. Candidate should give information true to their knowledge. Complete the application before sending it to the concerned authority.

Study Plan

Studying materials are the most necessary thing needed for studying. First of all collect as much study materials that will cover all the topics for studying. Study materials can be collected from both offline and online sources. Quiet environment is preferred for the place which is selected for studying. Noisy atmosphere is not good for studying. Mind cannot concentrate on a topic in a noisy atmosphere. The place which is selected for studying should be neat. Mind gets tired easily if same topic is studied for hours. Try different topics in a day. This will keep mind from getting bored of studying. Give a time period for each of these topics. Allocate time based on the acquaintance with each topic. Solving MCQ’s frequently will help to attend exam with confidence. Undertaking mock tests are good for the students to validate their strengths and weaknesses. Taking frequent break refreshes the mind.
