Gopichand Arya Mahila College was established in the year 1972 on the month of May in remembrance of a leading landlord and businessman of Abohar Late Mr. Seth Gopichand Ahuja. The college was established with the objective of meeting the educational requirements of the women belonging to the local area and it is affiliated to Panjab University.

Gopichand Arya Mahila College is offering infrastructural facilities like reference room, girls hostel with common room, open air theatre, yagashala, computer lab, music room, instrumental room, home science laboratory, cooking laboratory, library with reading room & reference room and auditorium.

Hostel in Arya Mahila College:

The campus of the college is provided with hostel facility so as to provide accommodation to the students from other states. There are two hostels in the college called as old hostel and new hostel with a capacity of 17 and 15 respectively.

Sports activities in the college:

Apart from offering quality education, Gopichand Arya Mahila College is also encouraging the students to take part in different sports events and this can be understood from the different competitions on games like judo, badminton, archery, swimming held by the college on a regular basis.
