Government Jobs in Remote Sensing and Geo Informatics in India
In India, Remote Sensing has developed in the past 25 years and the nation has entered the space age in the year 1972 when the Department of Space was established. Right from this period, there had been a systematic development of this program resulting in well-integrated system with application, ground and space segments.
After the successful launch of the first Indian Satellite on the April 1975, in the year 1981, a program was initiated for launching the experimental remote sensing satellite Bhaskara I and II. As a result of this, space scientists in the nation gained some experience and situation became ripe for alunching operations remote sensing satellite thereby resulting in the establishment of data reception station in Sadh Nagar of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
