National Institute of Technology (NIT) conducts the Haryana Common Engineering Entrance Test. This exam is conducted for admitting students for B.Tech., B.E. and B.Arch courses. The candidates are admitted to various government as well as private institutes on the basis of this test. The Haryana Common Engineering Entrance Test is usually conducted in the month of March. Each year, many aspirants appear for the entrance to get admission in some of the most prestigious institutes in India. The aspirants after completing the course have an opportunity to get placed in reputed firms. The admission is solely on the basis of merit.

Eligibility Criteria for Haryana CEET

The basic eligibility for Haryana Common Engineering Entrance Test is to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry separately in 10 + 2 Examination. The candidates who have completed three year diploma in engineering can apply for various lateral entry courses. These candidates get admission directly to the second year. The minimum age requirement for 10+2 candidates is 17 years. The candidate should have a domicile of Haryana state. The candidates who reside in other states are also eligible for Haryana Common Engineering Entrance Test in accordance to certain guideline set by the board of Haryana Common Entrance Test.

The reservation rules set by the government is applicable for this test. The candidates who can apply under reservation category include the students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled tribes. Other reservation category includes the candidates under the sport quota, heirs of freedom fighters, children of ex-service men, etc. There are few seats allotted to the students who score high marks in All India Entrance Examination.

Structure of Haryana CEET

The duration of the entrance exam is three hours. There are more number of questions asked from mathematics and physics. The number of questions in chemistry is less. The medium of question paper is English and the nature of questions is multiple choice types. There will be four options for each question. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Allocation of Seats

The free seats in all the government engineering colleges are filled through merit quota in Haryana CEET. Nearly 50% seats of private engineering colleges are also filled through the entrance test. Seats under management quota are first filled by candidates who are from Haryana on the basis of merit list. The candidates from outside the state can get admission in payment seat if they are vacant.

    HARYAN A CEET is no more being conducted. Please check up and correct the information. In Haryana admissions are based on AIEEE examination
