How to Prepare for Karnataka PG-CET?

The Karnataka PGCET is conducted under management of Central Post Graduate Admission Committee. The purpose of this exam is determining the merit of Karnataka and Non Karnataka candidates. This exam is conducted for candidate’s admission into MCA and MBA courses. The Non Karnataka candidates can apply for only the management quota seats of private professional institutions. Only qualified graduates who have a minimum of 50% marks from the recognized university or institute can apply. Those who have attended their final degree exams can also apply for this test. The Entrance Exam will be conducted on the middle of June.

Structure of the Karnataka PG-CET

The MBA Entrance test consists of 120 questions and duration of this test is 2 hours. The questions are from

  • Mathematical Skills
  • Language comprehension
  • Intelligence and Critical reasoning
  • Data analysis and sufficiency
  • Indian Global Environment

The MCA Entrance Exam consists of 90 questions and duration of the exam is 2 hours. The questions are from

  • Mathematics
  • Analytical Ability
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Comprehensive verbal ability
  • General awareness on computer science

Syllabus of the Karnataka PG-CET

The comprehensive and verbal ability section consists of reading comprehension, antonyms, synonyms, articles, prepositions, correct grammar usage and their rules. The analytical ability and logical reasoning section will get questions from coding and decoding, arithmetic and Boolean operations, analogies, data sufficiency, etc. In the mathematics section candidates need to be prepared in the syllabus of time and distance, probability, numbers, profit and loss, percentage, etc. The General knowledge section consists of general science, current affairs, scientific aspects, History of India, etc. The intelligence and critical reasoning section consists of data interpretation, coding and decoding, probably true or false statements, definitely true or false statements, etc.

Reference Book for the Karnataka PG-CET

They can refer some online guides for preparation. For the MBA and MCA aspirants several books in these areas are available. They can refer to various CAT and Bank PO entrance exam guides. These include books by Oswal, R.S Agarwal etc.

Study Plan for the Karnataka PG-CET

The candidates are selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test. They should study these portions thoroughly in order to get high scores in the test. They should not leave any topics as well they must go through previous year question papers. The candidate should allot time and practice sample question papers. This will help to know your preparation level as well can rectify your issues. Time management is a must for writing the exam. They can refer some online guides for preparation.

As far as i heared dat TNOU students of non formal scheme cant able to attend pgcet exam in karnataka itseems.. My only wish is i’ve to write pgcet exam and to join for well known collage in bangalore. Soo its my humble request can any one suggest me to fulfill my wish… Coz alreday i’m scared about this situation…!!
