eligibility criteria karnataka cet
i am studying in 1st yr pu in karnataka.i will appear for kcet in 2011,i will complete 5yrs of education in karnataka then.my father is working in nationalised bank outside karnataka.am i eligible to appear for karnataka cet i 2011?pls reply.

Yes you are eligible for that if you have domicile certificate but this is not so matter and you have passed the last exam from there then you can apply for that.

no you will not be eligible for appearing in karnataka cet exams as mininimum 7 years academic qualification is required for appearing in karnataka cet exam and here you will complete 5 years of your academics in 2011.

i think you will be eligible for the exam and will not be eligible for GOVERNMENT SEATS

Eligibility
Age: For admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy / Yoga courses, have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of the admission. Educational Qualification: For Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy / Yoga courses, have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & BIOLOGY as optional subjects with ENGLISH as one of the languages of study and obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group. 40% in the case of SC / ST / Category-1 candidates provided that for Dental course, the candidate must have secured 50% marks in the optional subjects including English subject. |

Karnataka CET (KCET) Academic Eligibility:
If you are interested to take admission in the first year of Medical or Dental courses, then you have to pass the Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. It is also required that English must be there as one of the languages of study. You have to obtain a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test (CET). If the candidate belongs to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for eligibility requirement will be 40% for the KCET. |

I shall appear in class 12 exam. this year under Tripura Board Of Secondary Education a permanent resident of Tripura, am I elligible to appear in CET-2010. Wpuld you please, how can I apply.

thanks for your post i will like to inform you about the latest information that i have came to know is that for Kcet you must have studied at least 7 years in karnataka and i hope you wont be completing your 7 years of study by 2011 so i am sorry to say and i am expecting that you have asked this question because you are not having domicile of karnataka but in other's and most states it is 5 years to get eligible for the domicile certificate or you can approach the tehsil office and demand a domicile certificate for yourself as you have completed your 5 years of educational stay in karnataka ... or for further details on this subject you neeed to visit to any higher official in Kcet board .. hope you got my point bye take care and all the best ...

please give the details in a clear and straight sentance. by te way if you or your parents have the domicile of karnatak then you are eligible for karnataka cet. other wise you are not.

there is no special eligibility criterion for entering or giving karnataka cet exam you should passed your 12th with physics,chemistry and maths.. than you are eligible for karnataka cet exam so best of luck. |

eligibility for karnataka cet is The candidate should have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognised educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka The candidate and either of his / her parent's mother tongue should be Kannada, Tulu or Kodava and either of parents was domiciled in the state of Karnataka A candidate whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava should have resided and studied for a period of SEVEN YEARS between 1 and 12 standards in disputed Kannada speaking area of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or Jath or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharashtra State or Kasargod or Hosadurga Taluks of Kerala State. you son will be eligible for the entrance exams for mbbs in karnataka...... as now he is in 12th standard and for mbbs course in karnataka......one can definitely appear after completion of his 12th standard....... so do apply for it.... best of luck |

Eligibility criteria for BDS
Please suggest me: i have done my PUC 2nd year in PCMB stream and my domicile is in bangalore. i finished PUC in 2006 and now i'm working. I want to continue my studies is BDS so is CET mandatory for this course? If not, can you please suggest and guide me through the next steps!

Sir i wish to do B.E in mechanical,,,,As I have written my 2nd puc exam 2010 and I have got 145 marks in pcm and also i have 51 correct answers in Kcet 2010.So will it be able me to get a seat for mechanical enineering ?And i belong to Genaral merit..... |

my daughter is born on 10.6.1995. we have the parents eligibility for her to appear for karnataka cet as she is persuing her puc in karnataka. please mail us if she is eligible to get a medical cet. please advice. she is completing 2nd puc in 2012 march please guide us in the matter

I am central government employee and worked in karnataka for nine years continuously from the year 1989 to 1998. I belongs to another state and my child studied the education in different states other than karnataka state and presently doing second year of intermediate in Andhra Pradesh state. Whether my child is eligible for government quota of engineering colleges as local candidate in KCET 2011. From Murali, Hyderabad
