Pattern of HP CPET:

• The question paper for HP CPET examination includes multiple choice questions from the subjects like English, mathematics, chemistry and physics.

• In the process of admission through HP CPET, reservation of seats is made in the following ration:

o Scheduled Caste  - 15%

o Scheduled Tribe – 7.5%

o Two seats for diploma holders

o Two seats for teachers of Government Polytechnic colleges located in the state of Himachal Pradesh

• Students who have the intention of appearing for HP CPET should prepare themselves for four subjects namely English, mathematics, chemistry and Physics.

Eligibility for HP CPET:

The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. As far as candidates applying for the NRI/payment seats are concerned, they must get at least 60% of marks in the qualifying exam.
