IGNOU BSC – Nautical Science Applied Science Papers
The Applied Paper of IGNOU takes place at the end of the term. The maximum marks of the exam are 70. The time limit for the same is two hours. The paper has two sections namely A and B. Section A comprises of Nautical Physics while Section B has questions based on Nautical Chemistry. A student is supposed to attempt three questions from each section.
The questions 1 and 5 are mandatory. The compulsory questions 1 and 5 have internal choices. The marks for each question are written alongside the question. It is important to improve all the answers with the relevant diagrams and tables and graphs in order to get a full score. You also need to make sure to write precise material for the answers. You can go through the previous years’ papers in order to learn more about the paper.
You can also ask on various forums in case you need guidance. There are rough sheets given to do any extra calculation. The entire paper is based on the syllabus provided by IGNOU. Use of non programmable scientific calculator is allowed in the exam room. You can also ask for log tables in case you need one.
